Junior League of Honolulu

The Laser Eye Center of Hawaii proudly supported the Junior League of Honolulu’s HerStory Conference in 2004 by donating a LASIK procedure for their silent auction. $1,500 was raised for this organization of women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Their vision is to initiate significant change, build partnerships and inspire shared solutions that strengthen the community.

The HerStory Conference was held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Former NASA astronaut, Sally Ride was the keynote speaker at the daylong conference which included a variety of seminars and speakers geared toward women’s interests. LEC also had a booth at the conference’s marketplace.
